Project overview

Active campaign at a Marvel Loch gold operation processing scats and contaminated ore through a custom-engineered Elite crushing plant. The Scrat was developed in-house specifically to handle the steel-contamination problem that has historically defeated mobile crushing operators across the gold sector. Real progress on a long-standing industry problem, and an evolution of Elite's earlier scats crushing work at the same site.

Scope of works

• Deployment of The Scrat custom plant to the Marvel Loch site, Yilgarn
• Steel-tolerant primary circuit designed for contaminated feed
• Continuous campaign through scats and contaminated ore stockpiles
• Ongoing recovery-focused product output for the client mill
• Iterative plant tuning across the campaign as feed character varies

Outcomes

• 75,000 tonnes processed and counting through the active campaign
• Demonstrated Elite's custom-plant approach to the industry-wide steel-contamination problem
• Strengthened position as the contractor WA gold operations call when scats need to move
