Project case study
Marvel Loch TSF coarse filter material.
25,000 tonnes of +50mm/-100mm coarse filter aggregate produced on site for tailings storage facility construction at a Marvel Loch gold operation in the WA Yilgarn.
Project overview
Coarse filter aggregate for tailings dam construction. The spec was +50mm/-100mm, outside Elite's standard train configuration. The crew adapted the screen sizing and feed control to deliver to the client's tailings construction expectation across 25,000 tonnes. Sister project to the Kalgoorlie super-pit fine filter work, on the coarser end of the tailings construction spec range.
Scope of works
- Plant configuration adjustment for coarse output (+50mm/-100mm)
- Mobilisation to a Marvel Loch site, Yilgarn
- 25,000 tonnes of coarse filter aggregate production
- Stockpile separation by product spec
- Daily production reporting and QA against the +50mm/-100mm bounds
Outcomes
- 25,000 tonnes produced to client expectation
- Plant configuration know-how built for non-standard tailings construction specs
- Tailings dam construction work supplied with on-spec coarse filter material
